Job summary

Framatome Canada Ltd. is seeking a Project Manager to lead smaller projects or manage parts of larger programs under a senior PM, coordinating plans, schedules and resources to meet quality, reliability, cost and timing goals.

You will be the primary interface between the project team, management and clients, developing assignments and timelines for the team, and coordinating activities to deliver solutions that support Framatome's nuclear technology portfolio in Canada.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (equivalent work experience considered)
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience
• Knowledge of the project management development plan, implementation and administration
• Business and/or technical expertise in a related technical or professional capacity
• Excellent communication skills to work with all levels of staff and management, vendors and customers
• Good problem identification and problem resolution with root-cause focus
• Excellent report development and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Provide project leadership on smaller projects and/or manage elements within larger projects under the supervision of a project manager
• Prepare project plans, schedules and materials to achieve quality, reliability, cost and timing objectives
• Utilize PM methods to execute low risk projects for client needs and expectations
• Provide primary interface between project team, management and client
• Develop assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members for the project duration
• Coordinate multiple project activities including organizing personnel, materials and equipment; build team to ensure performance
• Define and forecast needed skills to meet project objectives
• Manage timely issuance and payment of customer invoices
• Apply technical expertise to find improved solutions supporting product life cycle/replacements
• Solve technical issues with PM/management or customer input to increase opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd
• Obtain Framatome Project Management Certification upon hire

What You’ll Do Day-To-Day

• Provide project leadership on smaller projects and/or manage elements and functions within larger projects under the direct supervision of higher level, project manager.
• Prepare project plans/schedules/materials to achieve project quality, reliability, cost and timing objectives.
• Utilize approved project management methods and processes to execute low risk projects of existing technology and methods to meet client needs and expectations.
• Provide primary interface between project team, management and client.
• Develop assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project.
• Coordinate multiple project activities including organizing and directing personnel, materials and equipment; utilizes team building skills to ensure satisfactory project performance.
• Define and forecast needed skills to meet project objectives.
• Manage the timely issuance and payment of customer invoices.
• Utilize existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product life cycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies.
• Actively participate in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.
• Must obtain Framatome specific Project Management Certification upon hire.

What You'll Bring

Total Rewards Package

• Salary: $85,000-110,000 CAD, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
