Job summary

Framatome Canada is seeking a senior engineer to join our Ontario team. You will lead complex design, development, analysis and testing activities while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements. You will apply advanced problem-solving, leadership and collaboration skills to develop new or adapted products and contribute to the product life cycle.

A P.Eng. license and 6+ years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a professional engineering license (P.Eng.) are required.
• Minimum 6 years of related engineering experience.
• Advanced knowledge of engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead and work collaboratively.
• Advanced problem identification and resolution abilities; proactive mindset.
• Shows leadership, curiosity and self-checking practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex engineering assignments including design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing and specification preparation.

• Research best practices and propose improvements; work on special projects as directed.

What You’ll Do Day-To-Day

• Performs a variety of more complex engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.
• Receives minimal assistance and instruction on most assignments and solutions.
• Ensures compliance with government, organization and customer engineering standards.
• Independently evaluates, selects and applies a variety of technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making more complex adaptations and modifications.
• Develops new or adapted products, methods, systems or models to provide added value solutions to customers.
• Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements.
• Works on special projects, as directed.
• Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.
• Utilizes existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product life cycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies.
• Actively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) in Engineering
• Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
• Professional Engineering License (P. Eng.).
• Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
• Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.

Total Rewards Package

• Salary: $XXXX - $XXXX, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
