Job summary

Framatome Canada is seeking a construction manager to lead complex nuclear construction projects, coordinating scope, procedures, tools, and budget to deliver on schedule.

The candidate will have a Bachelor’s or technologist diploma and at least 5 years of construction management experience in nuclear settings, plus ability to supervise engineers and coordinate with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or technologist diploma in a related field with a minimum of 5 years related experience is required.
  • Construction management experience with knowledge of nuclear construction processes and procedures.
  • Coordinates all technical scope and preparations needed to implement the contract within budget/schedule.
  • Plans, organizes, implements and follows through to completion a solution addressing client needs.
  • Defines and forecasts required skills and work arrangements to support project objectives.
  • May supervise/coordinate day-to-day operations of engineers, designers, engineering technicians and others.
  • Represents the Company in communications to resolve questions, plan, and coordinate work.

What You’ll Do Day-To-Day

Under moderate supervision, plans, develops, coordinates, and directs a variety of complex construction management projects. Provides a wide range of project management services, which may include managing people, and/or the scoping and scheduling of standard projects. Leads standard projects and assures work is performed in compliance with technical requirements, budget and schedule.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or technologist diploma in a related field with a minimum of 5 years related experience is required. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Construction management experience with knowledge of nuclear construction processes and procedures.
  • Coordinates all technical scope (maintains overall technical solution, development of procedures, definition and acquisition of required tools, materials, etc.) and other preparations which will be required to implement the contract within budget/schedule.
  • Plans, organizes, implements and follows through to completion a solution to address client’s need.
  • Defines and forecasts the necessary skills and work arrangements to support the objectives of the project.
  • May supervise/coordinate day-to-day operations of engineers, designers, engineering technicians and others who assist in completion of specific project assignments.
  • Represents the Company in communication with other organizations to resolve questions, plan, and coordinate work. Proposes plans and cost improvement programs that allow the project to achieve its business objectives.
Total Rewards Package
  • Salary: $111,000- $151,000 per year, and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. The base salary range is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
