Job summary

The City of Toronto is seeking a Project Lead, Business Operations in the Solid Waste Management Services division, to coordinate, review and lead project management activities for the Contract Integration Management and Compliance Unit.

Based at Metro Hall, this permanent, full-time role focuses on contract lifecycle management, procurement and policy development, with responsibility for budgeting, reporting, and data tools, while guiding a project team to achieve high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business or related field or equivalent.
• Experience in procurement and/or contract management and/or project management.
• Experience in preparing staff reports to Management and Sr. Management.
• Experience using SAP and MS Office.
• PMP designation considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Implements detailed plans and recommends policies/procedures.
• Conducts research considering policy, legislation and government initiatives.
• Administers assigned budget within approved limits.
• Develops contract tracking, KPI and reporting tools with data integrity.
• Supervises and directs project team members.
• Coordinates the implementation of contract lifecycle policies and tools.
• Prepares reports and briefing notes for senior management.
• Provides support to the SWM Contract Management function.
