Job summary

Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS) is seeking a part-time Project Lead to guide the Choice for Change program. You will coordinate work plans, outreach, and volunteer engagement to support men at risk of violence in their relationships.

You will collaborate with the CFSPD Program Coordinator to ensure trauma-informed, accessible services and successful program outcomes. This role requires community engagement and cross-cultural sensitivity in a diverse setting.

Qualifications

• Social Work degree from a recognized institution or equivalent training.
• Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in settlement and/or community work.
• Experience in organizing and facilitating group activities for men of all ages.
• Understanding of issues affecting immigrant and refugee communities.
• Demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills with participants and partner agencies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to create work plans and target groups.
• Develop outreach to engage service providers and recruit participants.
• Recruit and support volunteers, and engage participants as future volunteers.
• Deliver group cohort sessions and coordinate volunteers for discussions.
• Follow up on client needs and refer to CFSPD programs as required.
• Prepare and submit monthly statistical and progress reports for the funder.
• Participate in agency committees, special projects, and fundraising activities.
• Attend required agency activities and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Catholic Crosscultural Services (CCS) is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or status.

We aresearching for a part-time Project Lead to lead the development, coordination and implementation of the Choice for Change program at CCS. They will collaborate with the CFSPD Program Coordinator to achieve project outcomes. The Choice to Change Program offers trauma-informed and accessible services for men who use violence and/ or are at risk of using violence in their intimate partner relationship before a charge is laid.

What you will be doing:

Collaborate with the Program Coordinator on creating the work plan, including identifying the target cultural groups of men to engage structuring group activities, and establishing the timeframe

Work with the Program Coordinator to develop an outreach plan aimed at engaging service providers and recruiting participants

Recruit volunteers to assist with the program; provide ongoing support to volunteers; and engage program participants to become future volunteers

Deliver group cohort sessions and coordinate volunteers to support participants’ engagement in group discussions.

Follow up on client needs, referring them to the CFSPD programs as required

Prepare and submit monthly statistical and progress reports, as well as any additional reports required by the funder.

Participate on agency committees and special projects as assigned

Participate in agency fundraising activities as deemed appropriate and necessary

Attend required agency activities and meetings

Perform other duties as assigned

What are we looking for?

Social Work degree from recognized institution or equivalent training in community work sectors

Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in the settlement and/or community work sectors

Demonstrated experience in organizing and facilitating group activities for men of all age groups.

Understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting immigrant and refugee communities.

Demonstrated cross-cultural communication skills with participants, other agencies and the public

Location:Mississauga and Brampton, ON

Compensation: $36.02 per hour

Hours of work : 21 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime is required
