Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain project financial forecasts, monitor progress, and escalate risks as needed.
• Manage and reconcile project financials, including accruals, GL reconciliation, chargebacks, invoice tracing, forecasting, and variance analysis with commentary.
• Prepare and deliver financial and status reports for leadership teams and executive committees.
• Lead governance activities and contribute to operational process improvements, tools, and reporting enhancements.
• Respond to shifting priorities, manage multiple deliverables, and support project milestones.
• Support resource allocation governance, onboard users to Eclipse, and provide troubleshooting and user support.
• Create, reengineer, and optimize operational processes to improve efficiency.
• Assist the director in preparing executive presentations and conduct ad hoc analysis on financial data and metrics.

Are you a seasoned Project Financial Specialist looking for your next opportunity?

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Project Financial Analyst supporting project financial governance, operational efficiency, and resource management within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position involves collaborating closely with senior leadership and immediate team members to ensure accurate financial oversight, process improvement, and project support.

Pay rate range (CAD): $54.35/hr – $65.22/hr

Responsibilities

• Maintain project financial forecasts, monitor progress, and escalates risks, issues, and action items as needed
• Manage and reconcile project financials, including accruals, GL reconciliation, chargebacks, invoice tracing, forecasting, and variance analysis with clear commentary
• Prepare and deliver financial and status reports for leadership teams and executive committees
• Lead governance activities and contribute to operational process improvements, tools, and reporting enhancements
• Respond effectively to shifting priorities, manage multiple deliverables, and support project milestones

Desired Skill-Set

• 5-10 years of experience in Project Coordination, Business Effectiveness, with a focus on Financial Planning & Analysis
• Proven expertise managing program and project financials including GL reconciliation, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Strong analytical skills to manipulate, interpret, and report on data from multiple systems
• Data-driven mindset with the capability to understand data relationships and generate insights
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with attention to detail
• Experience in process documentation, design, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Demonstrated leadership with a proactive, ownership-oriented approach

Nice to Have

• Prior experience working within FIor familiarity with its processes
• Knowledge ofGL reconciliation and Eclipse platform
• Advanced skills in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
• Experience with Jira, Power BI, Alteryx, and Confluence
• Strong storytelling skills with the ability to prepare impactful executive presentations
