Job summary

WSP in Canmore, Alberta, invites a Project Engineer or Civil Technologist to help design and deliver municipal water, wastewater, drainage, and site servicing projects in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Qualifications

  • Degree required: Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology with eligibility for registration with APEGA or ASET.
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive municipal infrastructure and land development design experience.
  • Proficient in Civil 3D and AutoCAD; strong knowledge of MS Office and Bluebeam.
  • Familiar with local construction specs, materials, standards, processes; experience with drawings, reports, costs.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work independently within multidisciplinary teams.

The Skills That Set You Apart
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a Civil Engineering Technology diploma, with eligibility for registration with APEGA or ASET.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in municipal infrastructure and land development design.
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Bluebeam.
  • Familiarity with local construction specifications, materials, standards, and processes.
  • Experience preparing technical drawings, reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,800 – $118,900
MB & ON: $81,900 – $112,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $81,100 – $107,700
