Job summary

Mondelēz International seeks a driven Project Engineer to lead capital projects at the Hamilton facility. You will plan, develop, and execute budgets and technical solutions in alignment with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, define project scopes, and manage capital investments from concept to commissioning, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery across the organization.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years project management experience on small to medium CAPEX projects.
• Experience leading and leveraging cross functional project teams to drive project outcomes is essential.
• Demonstrated success in the project management cycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop capital budgets according to the contract and forecast cash flow.
• Support development and implementation of state-of-the-art processes and equipment strategies to optimize resources.
• Ensure engineering developments and standards are implemented per Mondelēz processes.

You plan, develop and execute capital projects by supporting technical developments, feasibility perspectives of engineering-related activities in supply chain and capital expense project execution to support growth, world-class manufacturing and productivity with the highest levels of quality, safety and environmental requirements. You will follow Mondelēz business and innovation processes in project management and ensure that Mondelēz standards are adhered to.

How you will contribute

To ensure that accurate budgets, plans and fit-for-purpose technical solutions are delivered, you will work with key stakeholders to define and deliver the capital and technical agendas during the development phases of capital investment projects. You will develop capital budgets according to the contract and forecast cash flow, ensure that engineering developments and standards are implemented, and support the development and implementation of state-of-the art processes and equipment strategies to optimize resources, harmonize assets and rollout best practices. In this role, you will support capital project execution and will be accountable for the quality and results of the capital projects per Mondelēz standards, and our business and innovation processes in project management.

Job specific requirements:

• 2 - 5+ years project management experience is required on small to medium scale CAPEX projects.

• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to evolving project requirements and situational changes.

Travel requirements:

• Infrequent travel as required (e.g. for vendor site visits, factory acceptance tests)

Work schedule:

• 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, reporting to the Hamilton Confectionary facility, in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
• Occasional flexibility in work times may be required (e.g. interacting with OEMs in different time zones, supervising off shift/weekend/holiday installations)

Salary and Benefits:

The expected base salary range for this position is $84,500 to $105,650 CAD depending on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget.
