Join to apply for the Project Engineer Co-Op role at USG.

CGC Inc. is actively seeking a Co-op Engineer to join our team at our Calgary Plant. This position runs from September 2, 2025, to December 19, 2025, for four months, with a possibility of extension.

This is a salaried, 100% onsite role, ideal for a motivated individual to demonstrate leadership and engineering skills within a large manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily process activity and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity, including waste reduction, speed, delays, and raw material usage.
• Coordinate, implement, and standardize manufacturing and warehouse process improvements.
• Support and implement new technology and process trials.
• Lead cross-functional teams to address process variability.
• Ensure safety is integrated into all activities and maintain safe working conditions in the manufacturing environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a registered engineering degree program.
• Strong analytical skills, understanding of data collection, statistics, and process relationships.
• Ability to utilize advanced problem-solving techniques such as SPC, control charts, Pareto charts, cycle time analysis, fishbone diagrams, flowcharting, and process balancing.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to foster cross-functional corrective actions.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills to manage multiple activities.
