Job summary

Zobility in Windsor, Ontario leads the North America Battery Technology Centre (NA BTC). We are seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate, schedule, and track battery testing activities across the facility to support product development milestones.

Reporting to the Program Manager, you will manage test requests, optimize resource utilization, and ensure testing programs are delivered safely, efficiently, and on schedule, working with Product Development, Validation, and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Interface with Product Development and Validation teams to understand current and future testing requirements.
• Coordinate battery pack and cell testing activities to support product development objectives.
• Work with test requestors to improve the quality, completeness, and timing of test requests.
• Develop and maintain test schedules and capacity forecasts aligned with testing plans and program milestones.
• Optimize utilization of testing resources, including test channels, equipment, and laboratory capacity.
• Monitor testing progress, throughput, equipment utilization, and issue resolution.
• Identify and mitigate project and operational risks that may impact testing schedules or deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues, remove roadblocks, and develop recovery plans.
• Capture and implement lessons learned to improve testing processes and project execution.
• Provide regular reporting on test status, resource utilization, and key performance metrics.
• Escalate critical issues and risks to management as required.

• This role is critical to the successful operation of the North America Battery Technology Centre (NA BTC), ensuring battery testing activities are planned, prioritized, and executed efficiently to support product development objectives.


• The North America Battery Technology Centre (NA BTC) is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate, schedule, and track battery testing activities across the facility.


• Reporting to the Program Manager, this role is responsible for managing battery pack and cell test requests, monitoring testing throughput, optimizing resource utilization, and ensuring product development and validation milestones are achieved on schedule.


• This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a world-class battery testing facility by working closely with laboratory operations, product development, validation teams, and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality testing programs.
