This role reports to the Chief Engineer (Engineering Manager) at our Sussex, New Brunswick site. Salary and title depend on education and experience.

What You Will Do

• Support engineering activities related to site capital projects, asset retirement, operations, and maintenance across disciplines such as civil, electrical, geology, geomatics, instrumentation, mechanical, mining, and structural.
• Assist in managing environmental obligations, including surface and groundwater monitoring, wastewater treatment, data management, and compliance reporting.
• Collaborate with safety, operations, and maintenance teams to update emergency response and O&M manuals.
• Lead contractors executing projects and maintenance activities.
• Participate in safety programs, including SCORE observations and risk assessments.
• Lead safety efforts throughout project and operational lifecycles, with a focus on risk mitigation.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or related field; a technology diploma may be considered.
• Ability to register as a Professional Engineer or Technologist in New Brunswick.
• Willingness to support all engineering disciplines on site.
• 2+ years of experience in operations or maintenance management preferred.
• Experience or willingness to work underground and in mine shafts is an asset.
• Strong communication skills, proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Commitment to safety leadership.
• Excellent coaching, mentoring, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
