This role reports to the Chief Engineer (Engineering Manager) and is located at our Sussex, New Brunswick site.

Salary and title will be based on the level of education and experience of the candidate.

What you will do:
• Support engineering department in planning and execution of site capital, asset retirement, operations and maintenance related activities in various disciplines including civil, electrical, geology, geomatics, instrumentation, mechanical, mining, structural etc.
• Aid in coordination and execution of site environmental obligations including, but not limited to, surface and groundwater monitoring, wastewater treatment, data management and compliance reporting.
• Collaborate with site safety, operations and maintenance departments in development and ongoing updates to site emergency response and O&M manuals.
• Direct and lead contractors in executing projects and operational/maintenance related activities.
• Actively participate in site safety programs including SCORE observations, life critical assessments and planned inspections.
• Be a safety leader in all stages of an operational/project lifecycle with a track record in risk identification and effective mitigation

What you will bring:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial/Environmental/Mining/Geological) or related function; a technology diploma may be considered
• Registered or ability to register for a Professional Engineer or Professional Technologist designation in New Brunswick
• Experience and/or willingness to support site in all engineering disciplines
• 2+ years of experience in an operations or maintenance management position preferred
• Experience or willingness working underground and within mine shafts would be considered an asset

• Experience with MS Office suite and AutoCad
