Job summary

Perini Management Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Newfoundland Team in Canada. You will collaborate with architects and engineers through all construction phases, supporting project budgets, timelines and procurement.

You will assist with scheduling, design-review for constructability, and coordination of vendors and subcontractors while monitoring safety and quality. Willingness to travel and relocate near the project site is required.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management degree or equivalent.
• Experience as Construction Project Engineer or Project Manager.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, AutoCAD and Procore.

• Plan and coordinate projects with architects and engineers through all phases.
• Assist in developing budgets, timelines, and procurement plans.

We’ve provided design-build and design-bid-build construction for more than four decades, responding to disasters and supporting military operations around the globe.Across the globe, notable projects include the US Coast Guard Maritime Patrol Hanger on Cape Cod, U.S Forces Operations Facility at Camp Victory, Iraq, National Army Brigades in Afghanistan, the Air Warfare Center in Saudi Arabia and multiple security upgrades for U.S. Embassy’s across the globe.Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional TalentDescription:As a Project Engineer at Perini Management Services, reporting to our Project Manager you will have the opportunity to:Project Planning & Coordination:Collaborate with architects and engineers throughout all phases of construction, including pre-construction/design phases.Assist in developing project budgets, timelines, and procurement plans.Review and manage design documents for constructability and distribution to client & subcontractors.Construction Management:Assist with developing and maintaining the project schedule, including monthly updates, and progress tracking.Process change orders and manage scope changes between the client, subcontractors, and designers.Assist in securing vendors and subcontractors.Monitor costs and assist with budget management.Identify and mitigate project risks.Coordinate with the owner and security officers for base access and ensure proper clearance.Construction Oversight:Support and oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure alignment with plans and specifications.Assist in monitoring worksite safety and ensure compliance with safety standards.Assist in the coordination of subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials and services.Documentation & Reporting:Documenting and Coordinating meetings, tracking actions, and decisions.Manage submittals and RFIs.Support QC inspections and ensure project quality standards are maintained.Requirements:Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management Related degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent competency achieved through relevant work experience.Work Experience as Construction Project Engineer or Project Manager.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency with Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and ProcoreWilling to travel and relocate near the project location.Experience working on US Federal Construction Projects, preferably with USACE or NAVFAC.Perini Management Services builds extraordinary projects, and we need exceptional talent.
