Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Project Director – Water based in our Waterloo office, with experience in municipal projects including linear infrastructure (sewers & water systems).

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with Business Development to expand water infrastructure market share in Ontario, including client marketing, market strategies, project capture, and proposal preparation.
• Providing technical, financial, and project management leadership, working with project teams and clients.
• Supporting GHD’s Water business in Western Canada, especially in Vancouver, including business development and project support.
• Ensuring project quality and client satisfaction.
• Mentoring staff and participating in performance evaluations and career development.
• Promoting GHD’s safety culture.

Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering.
• Ontario P.Eng. designation; BC P.Eng. an asset.
• 15+ years post-grad experience, with at least 10 in water/sewer projects; trenchless rehab experience preferred.
• Proven business development and proposal skills.
• Leadership in linear infrastructure projects through design and construction.
• Experience with sewer/water assessment, rehab, and trenchless installation.
• Knowledge of construction methods, logistics, and equipment.
• Familiarity with cost estimating, scheduling, risk management, and technical reporting.
• Strong communication skills with clients and teams.
