Job description

Alexandria Moulding, an SBP Brand, is currently looking for a Project Coordinator to join our VALUES-based organization. The Project Coordinator will lead key initiatives, large-scale cross-functional projects, and process improvements for the Home Depot Group. This role is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and executing merchandising activities related to new store openings, remodels, and refreshes, while ensuring data accuracy in associated systems. This position reports to the VP, Home Centers.

SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Project Coordinator will lead key initiatives, large-scale cross-functional projects, and process improvements for the Home Depot Group. This role is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and executing merchandising activities related to new store openings, remodels, and refreshes, while ensuring data accuracy in associated systems. This position reports to the VP, Home Centers.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Plan, manage, and implement key initiatives, divisional field requests, and large cross-functional assignments, including:
  • Strategic planning, scope development
  • Issue tracking and resolution
  • Post-implementation performance measurement and reporting
  • Identify, develop, and execute operational processes and systematic changes that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Oversee inventory management of signage and racking for all sites.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on all in-store implementation functions and processes.
  • Maintain a comprehensive process library for all functional areas, including floor layouts and planograms.
  • Communicate effectively with various internal and external partners or vendors, adapting messaging to suit the audience.
  • Monitor progress against milestones, resolve issues, manage risks, and ensure stakeholder alignment.
  • Expected travel required to support new store setups and major merchandising resets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Work Environment:
    • This position operates in a variety of environments including retail stores, warehouses, and offices.
    • Regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing systems.
    • Physical demands may include prolonged periods of walking or standing, lifting, and exposure to variable temperatures and store conditions such as outdoor work during business hours, wet or slippery floors, and other retail-related conditions.
  • Required Credentials:
    • Post-secondary diploma in Business or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
    • 3-5 years of experience in a business operations or project coordinator environment.
    • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word at an advanced level.
    • Valid driver’s license and passport required.
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics AX is an asset.
    • Bilingual in English and French is considered an asset.
