Job summary

NORR is seeking a Project Coordinator to support its Justice architecture portfolio. You will collaborate with project and contract administration teams to coordinate technical and administrative information, ensuring documents are prepared and filed according to NORR standards.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of project experience and a strong background in Architecture or Engineering, with proficient MS Office skills and clear written communication.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Architecture or Engineering program.
• 2-4 years of project work experience.
• Strong writing and editing/proofreading skills.
• Excellent MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Distributing and coordinating project deliverables and schedules for all project stages
• Leading the project document control and exchange process, liaising with internal and external team members
• Managing and maintaining a schedule for milestone documentation, Shop Drawings, RFIs, Certificates of Payments etc.
• Attending internal project meetings, taking and distributing minutes and following up on important action items
• Ordering, printing, and uploading project drawings and ensuring appropriate seals and stamps are affixed prior to distributing to contractors, clients, and consultants
• Effectively communicating with clients, contractors and senior staff

Project Coordinator, Justice (Architecture)

Justice architecture demands multi-faceted design to uphold and express the legal process, and achieve efficient and functional operations, while maintaining a safe and secure environment. Our experience in the design of judicial buildings spans more than 30 years across all levels of government including courthouses, police facilities and detention and correctional centers.

We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team. As a Project Coordinator, you will work with the project and contract administration teams to assist in the distribution and coordination of technical and administrative information on projects, ensuring that the completion and filing of documents are in accordance with the project deliverables and NORR standards.

You Will Make an Impact by

• Distributing and coordinating project deliverables and schedules for all project stages
• Leading the project document control and exchange process, liaising with internal and external team members
• Managing and maintaining a schedule for milestone documentation, Shop Drawings, RFIs, Certificates of Payments etc.

You Will Bring to the Team

• Demonstrated understanding of the architectural and engineering consulting industry
• Communication with clarity, verbally in one on one or group situations or over the telephone
• Excellent skills at writing reports, composing clear documents with strong editing and/or proof reading
• Advanced computer skills to produce reports, documents, and presentations
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software
• Post-secondary education in relevant Architecture or Engineering program
• 2-4 years of project work experience

The hiring base salary range for this vacant position is $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually. Actual compensation will be based on several factors such as education, experience, internal equity and skills.
