Job summary

Axiom Builders in Vancouver, BC is seeking an on-site Project Coordinator to gain hands-on experience and learn from senior project managers. You’ll organize drawings, specs, orders and contracts, while helping with change orders and shop drawings.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years on-site experience, strong organizational skills and Procore/MS Project proficiency, and is eager to grow in project management.

Qualifications

• Certificate, diploma or degree in Building Technology, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum one-to-two (1-2) years of experience in construction on-site as a Project Coordinator.
• Proficiency in Procore, MS Project and other construction related software will be considered a strong asset.
• Academic experience or professional exposure to Design or VCON will be considered an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (written/verbal) skills with the ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
• Willing and excited to work on site and be actively involved in project execution.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and maintain all project materials including drawings, specifications, purchase orders, design plans, and contract documents.
• Prepare change order documentation and tracking of all contracts change orders and purchase orders.
• Assist with the sample and shop drawing review process throughout the project including review, distribution, and final approvals electronically.
• Report on project progress and productivity to senior management and clients.
• Ensure compliance with on-site and company-wide health and safety protocols and policies.
• Communicate with subtrades to assist in budgeting to ensure they understand their scope of work.
• Review designs and use knowledge of construction methods to determine the most cost-effective approach.
