Job summary

Axiom Builders in Vancouver, BC, is seeking an early-career Project Coordinator to support on-site project teams across mixed-use and residential developments. The role emphasizes organization, safety, and coordination of drawings, change orders, subtrades, and reporting to senior management.

Qualifications

• Certificate, diploma or degree in Building Technology, Construction Management, Construction Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of on-site construction experience as a Project Coordinator.
• Proficiency in Procore, MS Project and other construction-related software is a strong asset.
• Academic or professional exposure to Design or VCON is an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (written/verbal) skills under pressure; ability to meet deadlines.
• Willing and excited to work on-site and be actively involved in project execution.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and maintain project materials (drawings, specs, purchase orders, design plans, contracts).
• Prepare change order documentation and track changes to contracts and POs.
• Assist with sample and shop drawing reviews and approvals electronically.
• Report on project progress and productivity to senior management and clients.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols and policies on-site.
• Coordinate with subtrades to assist in budgeting and clarify scopes of work.
• Review designs to determine the most cost-effective construction methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and maintain all project materials including: drawings, specifications, purchase orders, design plans, and contract documents;
• Prepare change order documentation and tracking of all contracts change orders and purchase orders;
• Assist with the sample and shop drawing review process throughout the project including review, distribution, and final approvals electronically;
• Report on project progress and productivity to senior management and clients;
• Ensure compliance with on-site and company-wide health and safety protocols and policies;
• Communicate with subtrades to assist in budgeting to ensure they understand their scope of work;
• Review designs and use knowledge of construction methods to determine the most cost-effective approach.

Skills And Experience
