Job summary

Aecon in Abbotsford, BC is hiring for an electrical project execution support role. You will review docs, assist scheduling, liaise with clients and contractors, and help with project close-out and billing from a dynamic field team.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in electrical project execution, strong communication, and attention to detail. A valid driver's license is required. This is a full-time on-site role with a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review contract documents and generate procurement lists, RFIs, and change orders as needed.
• Support scheduling and coordination of site activities with project team.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal departments.
• Assist with project close-out and deliverables collection.
• Track productivity, costs, and progress on projects.
• Prepare job packages including locates, permits and materials.
• Maintain organized data systems and support billing processes.

With over four decades of experience serving Western Canada, Pacific Electrical Installations (PEI) provides maintenance, construction, emergency and live line restoration services for critical electrical infrastructure and is the designated powerline service provider for the Lower Mainland South and Okanagan regions. PEI works to support transmission and distribution infrastructure including trouble response, maintenance, system improvement, end-of-life asset replacement and customer-driven construction programs.

What You'll Do Here:

• Review contract documents, construction drawings, generate procurement list, RFIs, Change Orders, etc. as necessary
• Developing an understanding of budgets, cost reports & revenue forecasts at the project level
• Support superintendent/project manager with scheduling and coordination of site activities
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal departments
• Participate in project close-out process and collect deliverables
• Track productivity, costs, and progress on projects
• Coordinate and prepare job packages including locates, permits & materials
• Maintain an organized data system
• Apply strong time management and task prioritization skills
• Assists with the creation and submission of project billing
• Providing clerical and administrative support and other duties as required

What You Bring to the Team:

• 1 to 3 years experience within the electrical project execution role is an asset
• Experience in the utility construction industry an asset
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
• High attention to detail
• Ability to show discretion with confidential and/or personal material
• Excellent organizational skills in order to handle multiple deadlines and tasks within a high-pressure work environment
• Professional interaction with all levels of staff within the organization from front line to senior executive. Work with others as a team with a positive attitude
• Ability to adapt to changing environments and timelines

• Valid Driver's Liscense

Pay Range: $58,000 - $70,000 per year

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience and unique skills.
