Job summary

Aecon Group Inc. in Canada seeks a Project Coordinator to support Aecon Utilities projects. You will coordinate RFIs, organize documentation, maintain folders, and assist with scheduling and meetings to keep projects on track.

The role requires 2–5 years in a project coordination or support role in construction or energy projects, with a focus on accuracy, collaboration, and safety. On-site work with an emphasis on teamwork and process adherence.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in project coordination or project support within construction, industrial, or energy-related projects.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track RFIs between construction, engineering, subcontractors, and consultants.
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain project documentation, drawings, and records in accordance with project requirements.
  • Set up and maintain project folders, document registers, and trackers.
  • Support basic project scheduling activities including updates, progress tracking, and coordination with the project team.
  • Ensure current drawings and documents are issued, filed, and communicated correctly.
  • Assist with meeting coordination including agendas, minutes, and follow-ups.
  • Support change management processes by tracking documentation related to change notices and change orders.
  • Assist with preparation of closeout documentation including O&M manuals and quality records.
  • Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Project Manager and project team as required.
  • Adhere to all Aecon workplace policies, procedures, and safe work practices.

What You’ll Do Here

What You Bring To The Team
  • Post‑secondary education in engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in a project coordination or project support role within construction, industrial, or energy‑related projects.
  • Exposure to RFIs, project documentation, and coordination processes on construction projects.
  • Ability to support scheduling activities and understand basic project timelines and milestones.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and document control.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams.
  • Comfortable working in both office and site environments.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel and Word; experience with project management or document control systems is an asset.
  • Eager to learn and develop within a project‑based environment.
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and inclusion.

Reason for Vacancy: New

The expected pay range for this role is $60,000 - $75,000 per year.

Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
