Job description

This full-time position will provide you with the opportunity to leverage your design and/or lighting background as you work with Vancouver's design professionals and our national clientele, helping them light their residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.

Our Project Coordinators are at the core of our business; working closely with our sales teams, they are deeply committed to fostering client relationships and providing timely service. Your daily tasks will see you working closely with your colleagues, leveraging your strong problem-solving abilities to meet tender deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This opportunity is ideal if you are extremely organized, have a keen eye for detail, and take pride in putting out great work. You must be at ease working in an exciting, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment. Most of all, you must be a team player and self-motivated.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and reviewing project quotations
  • Gathering and cross-checking lighting schedules, purchase orders, and approvals
  • Converting completed quotes into sales orders and ensuring project-specific documentation is provided
  • Preparing approval drawings and specification sheets
  • Overseeing project logistics from start to finish
  • Taking payments and processing orders
  • Tracking orders and acting as lead contact for clients regarding the status of their orders
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key industry specifiers
  • Following up with clients to ensure successful and timely delivery, installation, etc.
  • Communicating project install status to the Marketing team

You will succeed in this role if you have the following qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary degree or certificate in project management or related field
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent fluency in English
  • Strong written abilities and superior organizational skills
  • Tech-savvy with excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), and experience working within web-based ERP systems
  • Two years of experience as a project coordinator
  • Experience or familiarity with the world of tender projects
  • Skilled negotiator and ability to assess and maneuver around a complex playing field
  • Quick learner and drive to succeed
  • Team player and reliable
