Job summary

KGS Group is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our Vancouver office. You will gather, track and assign tasks and deliverables for mechanical and multi-disciplined projects, and assist with project and client progress reporting.

Ideal candidates have 1–5 years of experience, education in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field, and familiarity with MS Project or Primavera P6. Strong communication skills and willingness to travel within British Columbia are important.

Qualifications

  • Education in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field.
  • 1–5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with project management tools (MS Project or P6) is an asset.

  • Preparation of project and client progress reporting.
  • Monitoring project expenditures, budgets, and reviewing invoices.
  • Coordination with team leads and project managers to determine critical timelines.
  • Identifying scheduling issues in advance and working with stakeholders to resolve.
  • Preparation of schedules.
  • Support business development/marketing and proposal writing efforts.
  • Travel to work sites may be required periodically as needed.

The Role

We are looking for a Project Coordinator to join our Vancouver office. In this role you will gather, track and assign various tasks and deliverables for mechanical and multi-disciplined projects.

Key Responsibilities

About You
  • Education in one or more of the following: Mechanical Engineering Technology, Architectural/Engineering technology, or Construction Management
  • One to five years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with project management tools, such as MS Project or P6, is considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Interest in project management and administrative project functions
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary engineering environment is considered an asset
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an interest in building client and contractor relationships
  • Willingness to travel within British Columbia as required
  • Valid driver's license and ability/willingness to undergo security clearance checks

The salary for this role is between $75,000.00-$95,000.00 annually.
