The Opportunity:

The Project Coordinator in our Civil Department supports the successful execution of civil construction projects from planning through to completion. This role is ideal for someone with a background in civil construction who is looking to grow into a project management role. The Project Coordinator works closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and field teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating civil construction projects
• Support the preparation of bid estimates and proposals
• Help manage contracts and documentation with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Track project progress, budgets, and schedules
• Coordinate with field staff including superintendents and foremen
• Maintain accurate and organized project documentation
• Assist with change orders, invoicing, and project reporting
• Use construction software to track compliance and documentation
• Attend project meetings and support communication with stakeholders
• Contribute to project close-out processes
• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications:

• 1–2 years of experience in a project coordination or related role in civil construction
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)
• Degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, or a related field
• Familiarity with construction software (e.g., HCSS, B2W) is an asset
• PMP certification or interest in pursuing it is a plus
