Qualifications

Location: Remote Project Site – Northern British Columbia

Start Date: May 2026

Role Type: 6-month term (May – November 2026), with potential to transition into a full-time role

Work Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off rotation (camp accommodation and travel provided)

Compensation: $90,000-$110,000/year, commensurate with experience

Job Description

Lemare Construction is seeking a Project Coordinator to support remote heavy civil construction projects in Northern British Columbia.

This is a field‑based role working directly with the Superintendent and Project Engineer to support daily construction activities on large‑scale earthworks and road construction projects.

The Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting production, tracking daily activities, and ensuring communication between field crews, survey, environmental, and project management teams.

This is a fast‑paced role in a remote construction environment. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in the field, managing multiple priorities, and supporting continuous production.

This role is suited to individuals with prior field experience on heavy civil or resource infrastructure projects.

Tasks and Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with the Project Engineer and Foremen to support daily construction activities and keep crews and equipment moving.
  • Track daily production including earthworks, drilling and blasting, labour, equipment, and materials.
  • Assist with short‑term planning to ensure materials, crews, and work areas are ready ahead of production.
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports based on field activities and site conditions.
  • Coordinate with survey, environmental, and safety teams to support ongoing work.
  • Maintain accurate project records including site reports, deliveries, and field documentation.
  • Liaise with client field representatives, inspectors, and subcontractors.
  • Support the Project Manager and Project Engineer with coordination, reporting, and general project needs.
Education and Experience
  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology, Forestry, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 2–6 years of experience in heavy civil construction, mining, forestry, or earthworks projects.
  • Experience working on remote construction projects is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with road construction, drilling and blasting, or large earthworks is an asset.
Skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced field environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Roadeng or other civil software is an asset.
Working Conditions
  • Remote field‑based position in Northern British Columbia.
  • 14 days on / 14 days off rotation.
  • Camp accommodation and meals provided.

  • Work conducted in rugged terrain, variable weather, and a fast‑paced construction environment.

This role requires working in a remote construction setting with long hours, changing priorities, and physically demanding conditions.
