Job summary

EBC is seeking a Project Coordinator to support major infrastructure projects across Canada, including bridges, roads, and tunnels. You will read technical specs, track progress, and coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and the client.

The role requires a technical background with professional accreditation or equivalent, 5+ years in heavy civil, strong scheduling, cost tracking, and communication skills. Extensive travel to Northern Ontario and other sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Technical background with professional accreditation or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in heavy civil contracting preferred.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical design drawings.
• Strong scheduling, cost analysis, and reporting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Read technical and administrative project specifications.
• Inspect work daily to ensure standards are met.
• Inform the Project Manager of development and discuss methods with Superintendent.
• Order critical material with suppliers in collaboration with the Job Superintendent.
• Perform quantity tracking and cost coding for productivity analysis and forecasting.
• Prepare daily reports on crew progress and issues.
• Provide document control for correspondence, submittals, RFIs, NCRs, etc.
• Assist in preparing final project records, including as-builts.
• Organize and participate in meetings; maintain communications with suppliers, subs, professionals, and client.
• Assist field duties at the job site; extensive travelling expected (Northern Ontario, etc.).

As a Project Coordinator at EBC you will:

• Read technical and administrative project specifications;
• Inspect work daily to ensure that it meets the specified standards;
• Inform the Project Manager of project development and discuss methods planned with him and the Superintendent;
• Order critical material with suppliers in collaboration with the Job Superintendent;
• Perform quantity tracking and cost coding for purposes of productivity analysis and accurate job cost forecasting;
• Prepare daily reports as related to the crew, progress and issues;
• Provide document control for correspondence, submittals, RFI’s, NCR, etc.
• Assist in the preparation of final records for the project, including as-builts;
• Organize and participate in various meetings;
• Establish and keep necessary communications between suppliers, sub-contractors, professionals and client;
• Assist in carrying out a variety of field duties at the job site related to project;
• Extensive travelling is to be expected.(Northern Ontario, etc).

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience.
• Technical background with professional accreditation (P.Eng./ CET) or combination of technical training and/or related experience.
• Experience in contracting industry (heavy civil preferred).
• Read, analyze, and interpret technical design drawings.
• Scheduling experience and analysis skills.
• Supervision/personnel experience.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation, EBC Inc. has included the expected salary range for this role, which is $60,000-$105,000 . Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity. Base salary is one component of EBC’s comprehensive total rewards offering, which may include performance-based incentives, extended health and wellness benefits, retirement savings programs, and career development opportunities.
