Job summary

EBC Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator to plan, organize, direct and control the work of construction sites to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and at the highest level of quality.

Based in Canada, you will work onsite daily across a variety of sectors, coordinating with engineers, architects and subcontractors while maintaining strict safety and CNESST standards. You must have 5+ years in construction project coordination and be proficient in MS Office and MS Project, with

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction project coordination;
• Master of MS Office and MS Project software;
• Strong management, negotiation, communication and problem‑solving skills;

Responsibilities

• Read the technical and administrative specifications of the project to be executed;
• Acquire necessary technical and administrative information from involved persons during submission;
• Obtain blueprints and specs for construction and compare them to bid plans;
• Report changes to professionals and claim costs;
• Read and understand prime contract terms, conditions, and requirements to ensure compliance;
• Draft notices for disputes, change orders, and contractual claims as required;
• Support the project cost accountant with budget tracking and financial documentation;
• Obtain licenses and permits as needed for the execution of the work;
• Draft contracts and agreements, negotiate terms and award them to subcontractors;
• Develop the prevention program for CNESST and monitor it on site;
• Establish schedule and critical path and monitor weekly;
• Inform the superintendent and discuss proposed methods with director;
• Place orders for critical materials and negotiate prices with subcontractors;
• Coordinate and participate in meetings;
• Maintain professional rapport with client; travel is expected.

Responsibilities

• Obtain licenses and permits as needed for the execution of the work;
• Draft contracts and agreements, negotiate terms and award them to subcontractors;
• Develop the prevention program requested for CNESST and monitor it on site;
• Establish the schedule (dates, main stages of construction, constraints, methodology) and / or the critical path of the project and monitor it weekly;
• Inform the superintendent of the project and discuss with him and the director of the proposed methods;
• Place orders for critical materials, negotiate prices and prepare contract documents, in collaboration with the construction manager, for subcontractors;
• Coordinate and participate in various meetings;
• Establish and maintain a professional and continuous positive rapport with the client, etc.;
• Travel is to be expected.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction project coordination;
• Master of MS Office and MS Project software;
• Strong management, negotiation, communication and problem‑solving skills;
• Shows initiative and leadership;
• Team Player;
• Must be able to work onsite daily;
• Must be eligible and able to obtain a Federal Security Clearance.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation, EBC Inc. has included the expected salary range for this role, which is$60,000-$100,000. Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity. Base salary is one component of EBC’s comprehensive total rewards offering, which may include performance‑based incentives, extended health and wellness benefits, retirement savings programs, and career development opportunities.
