Job summary

Clark Construction Management seeks a Project Coordinator to support the project manager and provide overall assistance to the project’s performance including costs, schedule, quality, and status.

Responsibilities include attending weekly design meetings, prequalifying bidders, arranging bid reviews, mentoring field engineers, managing RFIs/SDSs, and ensuring contract documents are up to date for field staff. Strong MS Office and construction knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Construction/Project Management plus 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Understanding of construction methodology, including development, contracting, and consulting.
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) and SharePoint.

Responsibilities

• Attend weekly design meetings and assist in the design process.
• Schedule design submissions for PM review prior to formal submissions.
• Prequalify bidders and inform candidates about the project scope and milestones.
• Arrange internal scope review meetings and compile scopes for each tender package.
• Prepare bid recap sheets and finalize subcontracts timely.
• Mentor Field Engineers involved with subcontractors.
• Route RFIs and SDSs to consultants and keep contract docs up to date.
• Prepare mutually agreed billing breakdowns to accounting.
• Monitor documents necessary for close-out.

Job Description

Brief Overview

The Project Coordinator will report into the Project Manager and will provide overall support to the project and assists the project team with overall project performance including costs, schedule, quality, and project status.

Responsibilities:

The following is a list of activities that are inclusive, but not limited to the duties of the Project Coordinator at Clark Construction Management Inc.;

• Attend weekly design meetings and assist in the design process.
• Schedule design submissions to be reviewed by the Project Manager prior to formal submissions.
• Responsible to prequalify bidders and advise the candidates of the project in general, the nature of the upcoming scope, relevant milestone dates.
• Arrange internal scope review meetings and compile scopes for each tender package.
• Arrange bid review meetings with the running up bidders and prepare a bid recap sheet.
• Finalize and issue subcontracts on a timely manner.
• Responsible to mentor and guide their Field Engineers who are involved in the day-to-day coordination of their subcontractors.
• Follow up with trades on all the submission requirements, answer and/or route RFI’s and SDS’s to the consultants and keep all contract documents up to date for the field staff with the document controllers.
• Prepare and communicate a mutually agreed billing breakdown to accounting.
• Monitor documents necessary for the close-out process.

Required:

• Post-secondary education in Construction/ Project Management along with 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• Understanding of construction methodology, including development, contracting, and consulting.
• Thorough understanding of trade and product knowledge.
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft office products including Excel, Word, Outlook
• Must be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills, strong customer service orientation and a positive team attitude
• Adaptable and flexible in a continuous changing work environment
• Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
• Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
• Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly
• Field experience in the construction industry
• Experience working with Procore, Jonas and/ or Microsoft Suite including SharePoint
• Understanding the High Standards of Quality Assurance

What we offer:

• Competitive Compensation Package. - The estimated starting salary range for this role is $67,500 - $80,000 annually.Base salaries are determined according to several parameters like skills, experience, and potential impact on the role.
