Job summary

Listuguj Mi’gmaq Development Centre (LMDC) in Listuguj, QC is seeking a Project Coordinator to support planning, coordination, and delivery of employment, training, and workforce initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in project coordination, training and workforce development, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of employment, training, and educational programs and services.
  • Solid understanding Mi’gmaq/First Nation culture and community realities.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with partners, clients, employers, and training providers.
  • Experience preparing reports, maintaining records, and tracking project outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
  • Ability to provide clear Vulnerable Sector Check

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate projects, maintain timelines, and ensure objectives are achieved.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify and address client training/employment needs.
  • Research, identify, and coordinate workshops, training opportunities, and skills development programs for youth and adults.
  • Coordinate facilitators, schedules, registrations, and logistics for training programs and workshops.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with community organizations, training institutions, and employers.
  • Promote training opportunities and support participant recruitment and engagement.
  • Monitor project activities and participant outcomes, conduct surveys and evaluations, and prepare reports and recommendations to support continuous program improvement.
  • In collaboration with the Finance Manager, monitor project budgets, expenditures, and use of resources.
  • Support the delivery of workshops within area of expertise.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Purpose of the Position

The Listuguj Mi’gmaq Development Centre (LMDC) is seeking a motivated and community-focused Project Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of employment, training, and workforce development initiatives.
