Reporting into the Project Director, the Project Controls Coordinator will assist, support and contribute to the core cost control activities for a major transit project.

What you will be Working On
  • Participate in core project controls activities to support predictable cost, schedule, and productivity outcomes.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining cost reports for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracted work.
  • Contribute to tracking quantity and hour performance at the work-package level to enable accurate progress and productivity insights.
  • Assist in updating forecasts, including cash flow and cost-to-complete, with guidance from senior controls staff.
  • Help compile weekly performance updates and earned value inputs, where applicable, under supervision.
  • Maintain timely entry of project data, ensuring records reflect field progress and reported quantities.
  • Conduct regular site walkdowns to observe work progress and support field progress verification.
  • Collaborate with accounts payable and finance teams on supporting tasks, including accrual inputs and invoice coordination.
  • Support additional internal and client reporting requirements through structured data gathering and consolidation.
What we are Looking For
  • Recent graduate in engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrates an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to structure data, apply formulas, and support reporting needs efficiently.
  • Solid technical foundation with a strong interest in cost control, productivity tracking, and construction operations.
  • Demonstrates humility, curiosity, and initiative, with long-term potential for development.
  • Daily site presence, comfort working in the field, and alignment to operational construction hours.
  • Basic analytical capability with an interest in developing structured reporting and data management skills.
  • Willingness to ask questions, learn workflows, and engage directly with construction teams to understand progress and productivity drivers.
  • Professional ambition and motivation to grow with the organization.
  • Familiarity with project controls software (e.g., InEight, InEight-aligned tools, or similar) is an asset, not a requirement.
