Could you be the full-time hybrid Finance project manager in Saint-Bruno, QC, CA we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your financial management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates. You'll provide indispensable financial oversight and support to ensure the success of our projects at the Saint-Bruno site. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Purchasing, Production), schedule and lead cross-departmental meetings for financial accuracy, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:

  1. Financial Partnership: Act as a dedicated finance partner to Project Managers and support project functions throughout the project lifecycle.
  2. Reporting and Analysis: Collaborate with project teams to prepare comprehensive monthly financial reports in line with Alstom's standards.
  3. Cross-Department Coordination: Lead regular meetings with departments like Engineering, Purchasing, and Production to generate accurate project financial information.
  4. Cost Management: Document and monitor project cost commitments, ensuring the accuracy of actuals and cost-to-completion estimates on a monthly basis.
  5. Cash Management: Manage customer invoicing, VAT, receivables, payment control, and cash flow, coordinating with treasury for hedging activities and bond sureties.
  6. Balance Sheet Oversight: Manage contract-related balance sheet items, including inventory, advance payments, receivables, and warranty provisions.
  7. Budget Management: Maintain budget and forecast figures, analyze variances, and provide commentary on Sales POC, Margin, Free Cash Flow, Risks & Opportunities, and Contingencies.
  8. Process Compliance: Implement robust financial processes and internal controls, ensuring compliance with Delegation of Authority (DoA).
  9. Management Reporting: Provide reliable financial data for management decision-making and contribute to ad-hoc reporting on projects.
  10. Continuous Learning Mindset: Embrace Alstom’s commitment to continuous improvement and learning in all aspects of the finance function.
