Job summary

Delpath, a Toronto-based technical and business consulting firm, seeks a Project Control Officer to support the Liquidity Cash Management Treasury Project within the Group Treasury Central Office. You will coordinate day-to-day project control activities and governance for multiple initiatives, maintain documentation, and work with cross‑functional teams.

The role demands strong Excel skills, solid experience in enterprise tools, and a track record in managing project financials and reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Control Officer (PCO) across multiple projects in full lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance processes, and enterprise tools (CA PPM/Clarity, PeopleSoft).
• Experience managing project financials: budgets, forecasts, accruals, invoices, variance analysis, reconciliations.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills for financial analysis, reconciliation, tracking, and reporting.
• Strong project coordination and governance skills: facilitating meetings, agendas, minutes, tracking actions/decisions, documenting.
• Working knowledge of IT concepts, delivery methodologies, and translating business requirements into functional specs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate governance activities, schedule/Facilitate meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, track actions and decisions through closure.
• Support and maintain project financials including budgets, forecasts, accruals, invoices, actuals, and reconciliations.
• Track milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and actions with cross‑functional teams and escalate as needed.
• Maintain project information and artifacts in CA PPM/Clarity and other enterprise tools with a focus on data quality.
• Produce status reporting and steering committee materials; ensure accurate, complete project records.

Delpath is a Toronto based Technical & Business Consulting firm providing recruitment & contracting services for our enterprise clients across North America. We are currently supporting a large Canadian Bank in their search for a contractor to meet their needs in the following area.

Location

Toronto - hybrid - onsite 1-2x/week

Liquidity Cash Management Treasury Project (supporting projects affiliated to treasury)

Responsibilities

• Support 2-3 projects concurrently, working under the direction of a Director, DPMO, and independently coordinating day-to-day project control activities across assigned initiatives.
• Coordinate project governance activities, including scheduling and facilitating meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, maintaining project documentation, and proactively tracking actions, decisions, risks, issues, and dependencies through closure.
• Support and maintain project financials, including budgets, forecasts, accruals, invoices, actuals, and reconciliations, identifying variances or discrepancies and working with Project Managers, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure financial information is complete and accurate.
• Work closely with Business, Technology, Finance, and other stakeholders to track project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and actions, and elevate items requiring attention to the Project Manager or DPMO.
• Maintain project information and required artifacts in CA PPM/Clarity and other enterprise tools, including project plans, RAID logs, status reporting, financial information, steering committee materials, and key project records, with a strong focus on data quality and completeness.

Candidate Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Control Officer (PCO), with demonstrated experience supporting multiple projects across the full project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closeout.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance processes, and enterprise tools, including CA-PPM/Clarity and PeopleSoft.
• Demonstrated experience managing project financials, including budgets, forecasts, accruals, invoice tracking, cost-to-complete forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reconciliation.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with experience using Excel for financial analysis, reconciliation, tracking, and project reporting.
• Strong project coordination and governance skills, including facilitating meetings, preparing agendas and minutes, tracking actions and decisions, and maintaining accurate project documentation.
• Working knowledge of IT concepts, delivery methodologies, and terminology, with the ability to work effectively across Business and Technology teams and support the translation of business requirements into functional requirements.

Nice-To-Have Skills

• PMP Certified and other Project Management certifications (i.e., Prosci, Scrum, etc.)
• Ability to consolidate multiple schedules and produce detailed reporting.
• Knowledge of client-specific development processes and lifecycle.
• previous experience working on technical projects (technology implementation)
