Project Control Officer (PCO)
Client: Top 5 Bank
Location: Hybrid Downtown Toronto, Ontario
Hybrid: 1-2 days a week (Every Thursday & 4th Friday of the month)
Terms: 6 month contract, Strong possibility of extension
Hours: 37.5 hours/week Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Summary:
This PCO position requires strong communication and customer service skills, excellent computer skills (particularly with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy environment. The role serves as a resource for basic company policies and procedures. Communicates with senior managers and line management to gather/convey relevant information. Performs diverse, advanced and confidential administrative support functions.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years related experience as a PCO or Project Management
- Hands on experience using MS Project Plan (main project tool)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications -- especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM and/or Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC)
- Must be self-motivated and possess excellent written, verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with customers, associates and business partners
- Be able to work independently and effectively as a team player
- Must have the ability to work well under pressure
- Must possess excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to research issues using multiple bank systems
- Have excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Effective prioritization of multiple tasks, balancing quality and productivity
- Availability to work a flexible schedule assignment
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Salesforce Migration or SF Financial Services Cloud
- Strong business acumen and understanding of Capital Markets and/or Investments
- Proven track record of building strong partnerships and influencing management and executive level without direct authority.
- Comfortable presenting status meetings to and interacting with leadership.
- Capturing meeting minutes, schedule modeling, & release planning.
- Participate in meetings with clients and task members to determine progress of work and identify additional follow up needs
- Tracking project updates and sharing status slides
- Comfortable with Jira, Confluence
- Proficiency with bank systems examples include but not limited to: SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, WebEx
- Compile reports concerning progress of work and downtime to distribute to personnel involved in project.
- Ensure project control procedures and policies within a number of projects are executed and functioning according to Technology’s project performance standards.
