About the Role

On behalf of our client in the Banking industry, Astek Canada is seeking a motivated Project Control Officer ready to take on new challenges.

Your Responsibilities

As a Project Control Officer, you will be responsible for:

• RAID log management – ingestion of Risk/Action/Issue/Decision items, maintaining coherency and currency of the RAID log.
• Reporting – consolidation and preparation of reporting materials (weekly status report, ESC materials, ad-hoc requests).
• Interdependency Management – consolidation and tracking of interdependencies across project workstreams and outside or within the project.
• Financial Management – consolidation of monthly cost forecasts, tracking actual spend, analyzing variances, vendor accruals, and invoicing.
• Project change control – maintaining PCR list and managing related tasks/activities.
• Artifact management – organizing, tracking, and logging required artifacts, assisting during compliance and delivery assurance reviews.
• Schedule Management – tracking and reporting on tasks, deliverables, and milestones; highlighting and escalating slippages for action or attention.

Your Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• 8+ years of experience.

Key Skills:

• Experience with JIRA.
• Experience with Clarity.
• In-depth knowledge of MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), with proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
• Experience in project monitoring and control activities (schedule management, reporting, RAID management, financial management, etc.).
• Nice to have: SharePoint, Confluence.
