Our client is a top financial institution with significant North American holdings. They operate across major verticals including institutional & corporate, wealth management, private client, commercial banking, treasury, and retail banking.

Introduction

Robertson is seeking a skilled Project Control Officer to join our client.

Contract Period

12 months with potential to extend

Pay Rate

Starting from $40 per hour

Location

Toronto, ON

Location Type

Hybrid; minimum of 2 days a week (depends on the project)

Business Hours

Monday to Friday; 8:30 AM or 9 AM login (7.5 hours)

Job Responsibilities
  1. Manage relationships and activities with all required partners (business, Finance, program PMO, project teams, external partners) related to program financials (prepare budget, forecasts, and actuals).
  2. Utilize project management software for development and distribution of comprehensive project financial reports to stakeholders.
  3. Work closely with Finance to support forecasting and tracking of capitalization and amortization.
  4. Manage all financial status meetings for the program.
  5. Support invoice processing.
  6. Update internal financial management tracking tools (e.g., EPM, Carpe Diem).
  7. Track and report resource utilization.
  8. Exercise discretion in managing correspondence and escalate issues appropriately.
  9. Act as a central communication point for team members, management, and stakeholders on program and platform issues.
Experience & Qualification Requirements
  1. Project management experience
  2. Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  3. Project Governance experience
  4. Financial management experience in projects
  5. Strong analytical skills
  6. Experience with Jira
  7. Advanced Excel skills
  8. Experience with MS Project
  9. Familiarity with Clarity
  10. Critical thinking, clear communication, organization skills
  11. All candidates must complete a criminal and credit check as part of the application process
