Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) is a national, not-for-profit, shared services organization that supports hundreds of health care providers across Canada, as well as child welfare agencies and other public sector organizations. MMC provides value-driven contracting and procurement solutions for medical / surgical supplies, pharmaceutical products, local sourcing, capital (equipment, FF&E and redevelopment) and nutrition solutions. Other services include data analytics, in-hospital support, warehousing / logistics, technology, procure-to-pay, and accounts payable.

With an emerging focus on sustainability and reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, MMC is actively supporting the creation of a resilient value chain that incorporates environmental, social and governance best practices. Based in Burlington, ON, the organization also has offices in Toronto, Thunder Bay, Kingston, Brantford, London and Chatham, and a distribution centre in Oakville.

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Project Analyst to support our Digital Health & Ops Readiness team at the Burlington, Oakville, or Toronto office.

Position Overview

The Project Analyst will support and lead key components of the Digital Health & Ops Readiness team’s various projects. The Project Analyst will work within the project team to assist in project execution and stakeholder engagement.

The successful candidate must have experience supporting project teams, excellent communication skills, and business acumen to fully understand the varied users’ requirements. They must be able to gather information and interpret and structure data into meaningful outcomes.

The Project Analyst reports to the Manager, Supply Chain Projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of strategic projects, helping to track project progress, timelines, and deliverables
  • Provide quality assurance for project deliverables and reporting, ensuring high quality of work
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, such as project charter, status reports, and final close-out reports
  • Present any issues daily or weekly, pending level of concern, to ensure timely response and minimal impact to project
  • Contribute to the development of presentations and other materials or internal and client-facing meetings
  • Collect, interpret, and analyze data to provide thoughtful insights and reports to internal and external customers
  • Identify and manage potential risks associated with project initiatives; assist in identifying mitigation strategies to ensure project success
  • Provide guidance and support in defining the business needs, benefits, or problem / opportunity statements based on strategic drivers and identifying potential solutions
  • Continuously gauge client satisfaction though feedback sessions, surveys, and regular check-ins, ensuring that projects are delivering measurable value
  • Conduct needs assessments and collaborate with stakeholders to understand opportunities for improvement
  • Leverage existing and / or develop new project tools for both external and internal audiences, ensuring the scalability of tools for future projects
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in digital health and new and emerging technologies, assessing their potential benefits for healthcare providers in terms of operational efficiency, patient care, and cost savings
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

Skills and Competencies

  • Advanced MS Excel and MS Office skills (Teams, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong knowledge of data reporting platforms is an asset (Power BI, etc.).
  • Ability to understand and find appropriate applications for data and analysis results.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
  • Skilled with Project Management software (MS Project, Monday.com, Asana, etc.)
  • Understanding of Supply Chain Management and budgeting is an asset.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management.
  • Highly motivated, analytical, and stakeholder focused.
  • Collaborative and a team player.
  • Able to grasp new concepts quickly.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity.
  • Proactive and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Problem-solving and investigation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple and competing projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Education, Training, and Experience

Mandatory

  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma, preferably in business or healthcare.
  • Minimum 2 years in Supply Chain or Healthcare Operations environment.

Preferred

  • MBA or PMP certification is an asset.
  • SCMP or Degree relating to Supply Chain is an asset.
  • Experience as a Business Analyst or in an analytical role is an asset.
  • Experience working as part of a project team is an asset.

Travel

  • Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.
  • Ability to travel to the Burlington office for meetings, if not already located at the Burlington site.

As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of full COVID-19 vaccination to Human Resources.
