Job summary

Lark Group in Surrey, BC is seeking a Project Accountant to support cost control and financial management across construction projects. You will partner with Operations and Finance to manage the full accounting cycle, provide reliable insights, and help ensure accurate reporting.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, 5+ years in construction accounting, and proficiency with Procore, Viewpoint, and Acumatica. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or similar certification preferred.
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction.
Knowledge of construction accounting principles and cost management.
Experience with Procore and ERP/accounting software.

Responsibilities

Handle project/cost accounting end-to-end, setup, reconciliation, revenue/cost analysis.
Process invoicing for various project types, ensure contract compliance.
Support AR activities and assist with issue resolution for clients.
Forecast project finances by setting up POs and monthly projections.
Prepare monthly financial packages, statements, and subledgers.
Assist year-end audit work papers and external auditors.
Conduct monthly intercompany reconciliations and GST/QST returns.
Support AP coverage as needed and uphold core values.
