Job summary

The Lark Group is seeking a Project Accountant to partner with Operations and Finance on project delivery and financial control. This role covers full accounting cycles, reporting, budgeting, and timely communication with project teams.

As a proactive business partner, you will provide practical financial insight, identify issues early, and support reliable accounting for informed decision-making across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required; CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, construction accounting a plus.
• Construction accounting principles, project cost management, and software knowledge (Procore/Viewpoint) is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
• Excellent analytical and forecasting abilities with strong communication.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Acumatica, Procore).

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Project/Cost Accounting: setup, reconciliation, and cost analysis.
• Process invoicing and track billing for construction, lump-sum, and development projects.
• Support AR activities and assist clients with AR resolution.
• Draft monthly project forecasts and set up POs with the project team.
• Prepare monthly financial packages: statements, trial balance, working papers.
• Assist with year-end audit working papers and auditing preparations.
• Conduct monthly intercompany reconciliation for accurate reporting.
• Prepare GST/QST returns and process recurring journal entries.
• Provide AP coverage as needed to support operations.
