• Process and review progress billings, subcontractor payments, and change orders.
• Reconcile project costs and ensure financial accuracy in collaboration with the project management team.
• Assist in preparing monthly project forecasts, financial reports, and variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, accounting standards, and company policies.
• Work closely with project managers, site teams, and external stakeholders to support financial decision-making.
• Assist with year-end audits and financial documentation as required.

Skills and Experience

• Construction Accounting Expertise: Experience handling financials for large-scale construction projects.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Procore, Viewpoint, or similar ERP systems).
• Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of job costing, contract accounting, and progress billing.
• Communication & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and senior management.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of project accounting experience, preferably in the construction or real estate development sector.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation or progress toward CPA is an asset.
