Adecco is currently recruiting for a Project Manager. This is a 10-month remote contract opportunity with a possibility of extension. The role is with one of our crown corporation clients based in Ottawa. The successful candidate must have a valid Reliability level Security Clearance or be eligible to complete one.
Responsibilities of the Project Lead include:
- Defining project scope and objectives, developing detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
- Assembling project teams, assigning responsibilities, identifying resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely and cost-efficient project completion.
- Providing technical and analytical guidance to team members to maintain quality standards.
- Managing project scope, risks, budgets, and schedules, and approving scope changes within thresholds.
- Reporting project performance to clients, management, and stakeholders.
- Securing resources through managers to execute the project.
- Motivating team members to meet quality, scope, and constraints.
- Leading discovery engagements, evaluating new and existing products, and recommending their fit within the architecture.
- Leading quality assurance activities, including test plan/case preparation, executing testing, and documenting defects.
- Preparing documentation such as requirements, user guides, process manuals, and presentations.
- Developing and leading change management and communication plans.
- Informing stakeholders of progress through communications, meetings, and reports.
- Coordinating and leading training efforts for support staff or end users.
Mandatory requirements for the Project Lead:
- University degree or diploma in Business Administration or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Lead supporting large-scale operations.
- 5+ years of experience in planning, managing, and delivering IT solutions.
- Valid PMP certification is a strong asset.
- Related certifications are considered a strong asset.
