Job summary

MPI is seeking a Project Accountant for a Hamilton-based construction management company. You will manage financial operations for multiple projects, prepare detailed reports, and ensure cost tracking to keep budgets on track, collaborating with project managers to ensure financial oversight.

The role also covers accounts payable/receivable for construction projects, regulatory compliance, monthly/year-end closes, and assisting in forecasts and budgets.

Qualifications

  • Experience in financial management within property or construction.
  • Familiarity with on-site project operations.
  • Strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and cost tracking.
  • Proficiency in CMIC, Jonas, or Procore.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with complex financial data.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Fill in financial gaps from the Project Management team.
