Our client is seeking a Project Accountant responsible for analyzing and reporting on the company’s properties, enhancing internal cost controls and efficiency, and supporting fact-based decision-making. The successful candidate will provide financial analysis within a team committed to continuous improvement to serve tenants and internal clients effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the Junior Controller on project, development, and corporate accounting tasks.
2. Assist in maintaining budget-to-actual reports and tracking.
3. Manage project budgets, quarterly forecasts, and reporting, including stakeholder communication.
4. Track project-related expenditures, including development, new builds, and tenant improvements.
5. Prepare monthly project accruals and stakeholder reports.
6. Coordinate with Construction Managers on progress reporting.
7. Draft financial requests for project draws from lenders.
8. Support process improvements and oversee project-related chargebacks to tenants.
9. Perform other tasks as assigned by senior management.

Candidate Profile:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years of project accounting experience preferred.
• 2+ years in construction or commercial real estate preferred.
• Strong relationship-building, objectivity, and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
