Job summary

Rogers Sports & Media in Toronto is seeking a Program Movement Specialist to ensure high quality programming reaches millions and to support ingest and delivery pipeline workflows.

You will maintain the media asset catalogue, collaborate with internal teams, and contribute to system improvements while growing your skills in metadata, YAML, XML, and scripting. This role requires attention to detail and strong communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of metadata concepts and workflows.
• Excellent organization and communication skills (written and oral).
• Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced, team environment under tight deadlines.
• Working knowledge of ticketing and communication tools like Jira, Salesforce, Teams, Slack, etc.
• Working knowledge of media formats, codecs, wrappers, and transcoding.
• Understanding of media compliance requirements like Closed Captions and Described Video.
• Experience with file accelerator applications eg Media Shuttle, Aspera.
• Ability to script for applications using Python
• Experience with YAML
• An understanding of how to use GIT Repositories.
• An understanding of .xml

Responsibilities

• Foster relationships with customers and internal teams related to content availability
• Track and troubleshoot issues with content availability
• Support co-workers and teams through training and feedback on system improvements
• Maintain training and support materials for distribution to teams and new hires
• Other duties as required
