This is a senior technical role that sits at the intersection of strategy and execution — translating enterprise-level cyber priorities into concrete roadmaps, security standards, and resilient infrastructure capabilities.

Reporting to the AVP, Cyber Security Program Management, this position is central to how Canadian Tire builds and sustains its network and security infrastructure posture. You'll work across engineering, architecture, and operations teams, engaging executive stakeholders and driving meaningful, measurable outcomes in a large-scale enterprise environment.

About the Role: Program Manager, Network Security

This role demands both deep technical fluency and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to senior leadership. You'll own the development of a comprehensive network and security capabilities roadmap — spanning short-term wins (0–6 months) all the way through long-term transformations (18+ months) — aligned with the organization's CISO expectations and enterprise cyber strategy.

Beyond roadmap development, you'll be responsible for governance reinforcement, tool rationalization, and embedding security controls into every initiative you lead. Your ability to influence diverse stakeholders, facilitate data-driven decision-making, and deliver clear, executive-ready communications will be essential to success in this position.

Canadian Tire offers a broadband salary range of $90,000–$131,000 per annum, with a typical hiring range of $120,000–$131,000 per annum for this role. Final compensation depends on experience, internal equity, industry benchmarks, and role-specific considerations. Responsibilities

As the Program Manager, Network Security, your day-to-day work centres on translating cyber strategy into executable plans and keeping initiatives on track across a complex enterprise. You'll be a key voice in both technical conversations and executive boardrooms, making sure the right things get prioritized, funded, and delivered on time.

• Develop and maintain a network and security infrastructure capabilities roadmap aligned with organizational cyber strategy and risk assessments
• Define and enforce security-focused technical standards and guidelines for infrastructure technologies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and network segmentation
• Engage stakeholders to prioritize initiatives that strengthen network and security infrastructure while balancing business objectives
• Drive alignment across engineering, operations, and architecture teams through outcome-driven planning and dependency management
• Deliver governance recommendations including tool rationalization, capability gap analysis, lifecycle automation, and decommissioning of unused tools
• Define short-, mid-, and long-term roadmap (0–6, 6–18, and 18+ months) for Canadian Tire Corporation, including common solutions intended for enterprise-wide use
• Develop a capability framework aligned to CISO strategic expectations with deep technical engagement with CTC Platform owners
• Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language for executive reporting and stakeholder presentations
• Facilitate data-driven decision-making and influence technical and business outcomes through strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

Requirements / Skills

The ideal candidate brings substantial experience in cybersecurity program management combined with genuine technical depth in network and security infrastructure. Canadian Tire values professionals who can operate confidently at both the strategic and hands-on levels, and who have a proven track record delivering complex, large-scale security initiatives.

• 7+ years in program management within technology or cybersecurity, with at least 4+ years focused specifically on network and security infrastructure
• Deep understanding of network architecture and security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and segmentation strategies
• Industry certifications required: CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, or equivalent
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and ISO 27001
• Experience in Agile environments and proficiency with tools like Jira and Confluence
• Proven ability to influence and drive consensus across diverse technical and business stakeholders
• SAFe certification is considered an asset

CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, or equivalent certification required. Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001). Experience working in Agile environments and using tools like Jira and Confluence. SAFe certification is a plus.
