What you’ll be doing
As Program Manager, Early Talent Engagement, you will report to the Director of Early Talent Engagement and Retention, and will deliver a student experience that provides meaningful professional development within the context of the overall Early Talent Engagement Strategy. Through direct leadership of the SLA Program and Innovation Challenge, and support for overall Early Talent Engagement strategic initiatives, this role will support students to ensure they have development opportunities, a supportive community, and a desire to return to CIBC in the future. You will have an opportunity to: Deliver a high profile program and manage it end to end; Build a broader professional network up, down and across the organization; and shape CIBC’s workforce of the future. In this role, you will impact the career development, mindset and overall impression of the next generation of talent!

How you’ll succeed
Program Management and Program Delivery- You will lead the design and delivery of meaningful professional development and engagement program for students at CIBC, and manage the designated streams of the SLA Program. The Student Leadership Academy (SLA) is a student engagement program designed to provide professional development, skill building, and social opportunities during students’ co-op terms at CIBC. You are comfortable in delivering engaging and professional presentations to large audiences, effectively communicating key messages and fostering understanding across diverse groups.
Lead the delivery of case competitions each student work term (3x year); plan and execute the end to end activities for this program including executive sponsor management/engagement, student selection, program design, kick off and finale events Students collaborate in teams while being mentored by senior leaders and coaches to develop an innovative and feasible solution for their assigned CIBC business challenge question. The students culminate this experience by presenting their pitch solution presentation at CIBC Square to a panel of senior leader judges. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, executing on the challenge, and mentoring students through the process
Tracking Student and Stakeholder Experience – You will oversee the tracking and metrics of the success of the Student Leadership Academy Program and Innovation Challenge engagement and relay insights to key stakeholders as required. Additionally, you will track the retention and conversion metrics of the general student population term over term.
Planning and Integration – Analyze feedback from students and managers, develop action plans and implement initiatives to drive improvements each term.
