The Program Director will be responsible for the program's overall leadership, management, and development. The director will ensure that all services provided align with the principles of individualized, evidence-based interventions for students who require specialized instruction. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program, and assuring the implementation of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis and the adherence to best practices in special education.
- Ensure all goals and objectives align with student needs and the overarching mission of the organization.
- Collaborate with school leadership, teachers, specialists, and support staff to enhance the quality of services delivered.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate program staff, including behavior analysts, special education teachers, therapists, and support personnel.
- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities to ensure that staff are up to date on the latest strategies for working with students with disabilities.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment to ensure all staff feel empowered and equipped to deliver exceptional services.
- Oversee the development and implementation of individualized education plans tailored to the specific needs of students.
- Ensure that interventions and teaching strategies are evidence-based, individualized, and reflect the principles of the ABA model.
- Monitor student progress and assess the effectiveness of interventions using data-driven approaches.
- Prepare and maintain reports ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Build partnerships with community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to support students' needs and ensure access to additional resources.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and expansion of the program, identifying opportunities for program enhancement and growth.
Candidate requirements:
- Master's in education or related field and School Administrator License required.
- At least three years in a leadership or management role preferred.
Knowledge:
- A strong understanding of Autism, evidence-based interventions, and individualized programming, e.g., ABA principles.
Physical requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed.
