The Centre for International Experience (CIE), within the Division of Student Life and the Office of Vice President International, provides students opportunities so they can expand their learning into the global arena. CIE enables students to expand their world to gain a global advantage. We work with students, academic units, local and global community to create sustainable and diverse learning abroad experiences that incorporate study, research and professional opportunities. We work in partnership with faculties and services to enable students new to Canada to maximize their time at U of T to meet their goals and aspirations on graduation. Finally, we work to build global learning opportunities on campus curricular, co-curricular and experiential.
The Program Coordinator, International Student Development Programs will work as part of the International Student Experience (ISE) Team and will participate in the development and delivery of programs and resources advancing the international student experience. Reporting to the Associate Director, International Student Experience & Global Fluency, and under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, Inclusion and Diversity, & Team Lead, ISE, the Program Coordinator will work across all ISE program portfolios and contribute their strengths in international student development and collaborative programming coordination. The Program Coordinator will lead the development and delivery of programs, resources and initiatives in this field across the international student experience timeline, including transition in, the journey years and transition out. The incumbent will work across Student Life units to embed and deliver ISE programs in partnership and, where appropriate, support existing platforms for international student support within college and faculty programs. The Program Coordinator creates, highlights and promotes particular resources for international students within existing programs, considers and positions particular needs, and fosters a holistic and accessible approach to the international student experience across U of T.
The Program Coordinator will work closely with the Resource and Information Team to deliver and promote ISE events, programs and educational workshops. The Program Coordinator ensures information is up to date on our website, social media, and digital communication channels, and reviews the impact and relevance of ISE programs through team evaluations and assessments. The Program Coordinator will work with the ISE team to design and implement an evaluation framework of its programs and initiatives.
Under the direction of the Associate Director and Team Lead, ISE, the incumbent will work closely with the University’s Student Life portfolios, tri-campus International Centres, student organizations, clubs and groups to implement and promote access to great programming, services, educational and outreach initiatives related to the international student experience. Through these partnerships, the incumbent also facilitates and promotes access to and awareness of international student experience programs, services, resources and initiatives across U of T while taking into consideration and positioning particular needs.
