Job summary

Up With Women / Exponenti’elles is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Greater Toronto Area with hybrid work in Toronto. The role focuses on building relationships with clients and community partners while coordinating program activities and events.

You will manage intake and outreach, help plan group sessions, and support facilitators. The position requires strong communication, organization, and a client-centered approach to service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with diverse clients including those facing poverty or housing instability.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and manage relationships with clients, partners, volunteers, and stakeholders.

WHO YOU ARE

Reporting to the Regional Manager, Anglophone Canada, you will be based in Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area and will manage relationships with clients, community partners, and various other stakeholders. You will also undertake related administrative and operational functions.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Accountabilities
  • Establish and manage relationships with clients, community partners, volunteers, and other stakeholders as needed.
  • Execute key program activities, including client outreach and recruitment as needed, intake, onboarding, regular follow-ups, and support.
  • Participate in program events, job fairs, and other activities as needed.
  • Plan, organize, and co-facilitate regular group sessions with clients as required.
  • Support the planning, organization, and recruitment of facilitators for client workshops.
  • Monitor the implementation of program processes and policies to deliver high-quality services and ensure continuous quality improvement.
  • Create and update client files and program documents and presentations, filing them in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate positive relationships within the program team, with other departments, and with stakeholders at large.

Program Evaluation: Continuously assess the program's effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement. Implement necessary changes based on evaluation findings.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Required
  • Experience working with a diverse clientele, including individuals who have experienced poverty, housing or employment instability, trauma, domestic violence, mental health and addiction issues, or disabilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage change effectively in a dynamic and growing organization (i.e., assuming additional or changes in work responsibilities as needed, based on the needs of the organization)
  • Understanding and commitment to concepts and issues related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-oppression, especially as they apply to women and individuals of diverse gender identities living in poverty.
  • Excellent skills in navigating and developing relationships within the community services sector to provide resources to our clients based on their needs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey and present information to all stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills and proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently as well as part of a team while maintaining good communication with colleagues.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in word processing, presentation, email, and calendar software, search engines, and web-based platforms.
  • Respect for privacy and the ability to exercise tact and discretion.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
