The Clinical Care Program seeks a part-time, permanent Program Assistant for the Crisis Critical Care TX U5 (formerly EPU). Reporting to the Manager, you will help organize and ensure the smooth operation of the unit, support clinical staff, and contribute to maintaining a therapeutic environment as part of an interprofessional team.

Your responsibilities include participating in client assessments, supporting direct care, accompanying clients for medical clearances and transfers, and communicating observations and assessments effectively. You will also be involved in maintaining security and supporting workplace diversity, teamwork, and compliance with regulations. The position involves shift work, including weekends, at 1051 Queen Street West, with 12-hour shifts.

The ideal candidate will have a Secondary School diploma or relevant courses, 6 months to 1 year of healthcare-related experience, and possibly a Personal Care Worker Certificate or ongoing education in a health discipline. CPR certification is an asset. You should be capable of working with diverse clients and staff, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be a motivated team player with initiative. Familiarity with mental health or addiction issues and bilingual abilities are preferred.
