Base pay range

$126,160.00/yr - $189,240.00/yr

The Role

This is a position within the AI GPU Software Group (AGS) responsible for AMD's ML SDK initiatives, including GitHub Community Support, ROCm documentation, and visualizers for profiling tools. We have a unique role where the candidate will get a chance to work on our profiling tools. You will get to work with Profiling Tools Team and Product Management teams in defining and developing profiling tools.

The Person

We are seeking someone who is passionate about AI in AMD, creative in pushing boundaries for profiler visualization tool development, and able to work patiently and with minimum supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with Profiling tools teams and Product Management to define the visualizer tool requirements.
• Design, implement, and maintain C++ modules for data processing, visualization, and user interaction.
• Write efficient code to handle large datasets and optimize for memory and performance.
• Implement and maintain efficient data access layers, including interaction with SQL databases.
• Design, code, test, integrate and deliver UI/Visualizer components to both internal and external customers.
• Productization support such as fixing field issues.
• Provide status updates to upper management.
• This is an on-site role as the hiring team will require the candidate to work in the Markham office.
  
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Strong proficiency in modern C++ and object-oriented design.
• Knowledge of multi-threaded programming and asynchronous data loading.
• Experience with SQL and database integration in C++ applications (e.g., SQLite)
• Ability to read, understand, and refactor large codebases.
• Comfortable with Git-based workflows and collaborative development.
• Familiarity with CMake and cross-platform C++ build systems.
• Experience with performance profiling, data visualization, or scientific/engineering tools is a plus.
• Experience with GUI development in C++ (ImGui/Qt experience is a plus).
• Exposure to open-source development practices is a plus.
