Base pay range

$126,160.00/yr - $189,240.00/yr

The Role

The AMD Display Solutions Team is seeking talent to help develop new Display SW features, bring-up new dGPU and APU ASICs, and improve the quality of our Display driver. This role offers the opportunity to demonstrate your technical skills such as kernel debugging, solving complex engineering problems, and architecting new C/C++ code.

You will work as part of a high-performing agile team, collaborating with SW architects to interns. If you thrive in fast-paced, technically challenging environments, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The Person

• A specialized knowledge plus broader technical understanding to facilitate integrative thinking
• Prepared to take responsibility for projects of significant technical importance and results
• Capable of leading development, solving complex problems, and improving processes
• Influences technical decisions impacting the final product
• Enjoys coaching and mentoring less experienced staff and influencing others as a technical leader
• Can assume consultative or leadership roles for projects or initiatives

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new display technologies (e.g., FreeSyncTM, HDR, DP, eDP, HDMI)
• Lead and participate in ASIC and hardware bring-up
• Debug and resolve existing driver issues

Preferred Experience

• Experience with PC or gaming console display technologies
• Experience with Windows or Linux Kernel debugging is a plus

Academic Credentials

A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related engineering field is required.
